Andrew de Silva on "Online Survey"

Please note that the forum has an auto feature built into it in order to protect the forum from being abused. If one should post any links to spam ( the forum has a list of keywords that it will pick up from the links) will cause the forum to ban the user from the site. I've removed the link from the post and I'll close this post.

The purpose of this function is to protect the forum from spam bots.

Spambots are automated programs designed to register on forums, disseminate spam, and leave. They usually supply a fake name, freebase email address, and sometimes mask their true IP address. Spammers can set the message that the spambot will post. Most spambots target one specific forum software or hosting company. Spambots are easy to identify by the nature of the message they leave, or the links in the signature. A typical post contains no topical content, but is accompanied by either spam links in the post itself, or in the user's signature. Some spambots will never post, and rely on the links in their signature to increase their search engine visibility. Looking up the spambot's user name with a search engine will often reveal thousands of registrations in unrelated forums.

Spam prevention and deletions measurably increase the workload of forum administrators and moderators. The amount of time and resources spent keeping a forum spam free contributes significantly to labour cost, and the skill required in the running of a public forum. Marginally profitable or smaller forums may be permanently closed by administrators. Forums that do not require registration are becoming rare.

Please do not post links that are irreverent to the website .

Andrew

I have come across this banner ad that offer money for doing simple work
like answering questions. They called it Online Survey.

Do you believe them when they say, they pay you $150.00 per hour for taking
simple online surveys. $5 - $75 for each online survey, up to $120 for phone
surverys, and $4 - $25 per hour to review movies.

There is no harm in checking this banner, if it is true you benefit, if it is not
true, you only wasted 20 minutes of your time.

    EDITED : REMOVED LINK ( REASON : SPAM )

OK, if you don't need this money for answering questions, perhaps, your friends
need extra money to settle some of their debts, or pay up their car or housing loans,
or they need a holiday. They do not mind answering questions to earn money.

Please forward this link to all your friends who need money, or a second job
working at home that pay more than his/her day job.

I am afraid I did not learn the pHp and CSS, perhaps you can teach me. I am using Namo Web Editor 5 program to produce my websites. It is very much easier than all the others I tried, like dreamweaver, etc.

Unless, you allow me to park my pages to your site and you put the link within our site, then it will be possible for me to help out from here.

One more thing, you have taken out "edit" to our posting, this will disable us from editing our posting when we want to change or correct the post, could you enable this function again, I think it is very good for us to check our post after posting, if there is any mistake we made, we can reedit them.

Keep up the good work, Andrew.

If you have knowledge on pHp and CSS then definately. The site uses PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor for the scripts .The layout is mostly Cascading Style Sheets ( CSS ) and html , the blog part and forums is pretty much perfect.
I just want to do a little 'hacking' to allow posting for videos from youtube and also image posting.

The only thing that is left is the layouts and themes for the site. It's taking me awhile to fix the minor display problem, as most of the time when I 'fix' something it tends to break somewhere else. It wouldn't a problem but sometimes things break and I have no idea where till I see it.

Folks,

I have disabled the comment features on the blog. It's much more easier for me to just maintain the forums instead of maintaining both. I want to ultimately have everything running smoothly enough that I can just relieve myself of any maintenance work on this site.

I'm also the webmaster for 3 other sites .I'm starting on another website by the end of the year. I don't really think I'll be able to find much time to juggle between all the site I maintain and work. I work as programmer for Penn Schoen and Berland and web development is my part time gig.

If there's anything I can help feel free to post on the forums and I'll try to write a tutorial on how to do it so everyone can benefit from it.

Thanks ,

Thanks. There some minor glitches on the forum part as I have to still work out on the display. This website consist of a blog and forum and they are two separate things that I'm trying to combine. Everything works pretty well except the layouts are sometimes a little off. If anyone do notice anything that doesn't look right do post on the forums so I can look into it and fix it.

We met up for dinner in PJ somewhere in the late 1990s. There were about 6 of us and then 3 months later we had another and the group grew bigger. We had not seen each other like for more than 30 years. we met quite regularly after that .
It was Thomas, Anthony,Francis, Justin, Gilbert, Michael Lee and Rohini at our first meet. I may have forgotten someone.
Then, Philip, Teoh , John Raj who came back from UK, Michael Ong was with us.
I had to leave for the US to company my son and daughter who were coming to school here.

Today ,thanks to the good work of Anthony , Thomas and Justin we grew.
Andrew Taveira was also busy in Australia, locating the contact numbers of those in Aussie Land.
Take care and be Good.

Many of you would be surprised when you log into the site and forum today and realize the huge change in the main site and also the forum. Sadly while trying to fix a bug on the forum , I’ve crashed the database for the forum. I was unable to retrieve the database and I’ve to re-write most of the things on the site from scratch. For those of you that I’ve registered for the forums, I’m afraid that you have to re-register and also repost everything from scratch. I’ll make more updates over the week but everything will be backed up before any major changes. The new forum is much more friendlier and less complicated than the one we previously used.

It’s 4am now and I think I’m going to hit the sack and make more changes at some point tommorrow

Thanks,
